Cats…Why Must We Obey Them?

Perhaps you’ve caught a glimpse of my cat (aptly named, Kitty-Kitty) in the Header of Chronosuper. For 8 1/2 years he has been my “Companion/Overlord.” He helped me care for my parents in the last years of their lives, and now, sadly, I must care for him until the end. He is in the 4th stage of Chronic Renal Failure, or Kidney Disease. I want to do everything I can to comfort him. I love him.

Currently, I give him Subcutaneous Fluids every other day; a quarter of a Pepcid AC, 2mg of Cyproheptadine, and some kind of nasty syrup that looks like pond scum, on a twice a day basis…it’s a drag for all participants.

If anyone out there on the “WorldWide Magical InterWeb” has suggestions, experience, or tips, I’d love to hear them. In the meantime – Enjoy!…

If you are tired of being a doormat, try being a Door Man…

Feeling used and abused?

I know the feeling. It can drain you of all energy, and leave you bitter and resentful. It might even prime you to look for “payback” opportunities. I mean, why not? Give them a little of their own medicine and see how it makes them feel; right?

Or, you could try what Josh did…

“Opening a door is more than a physical act. It’s about putting yourself out there, getting to know people, making them feel comfortable, and making them feel welcome. Opening doors – It gives people hope; that people care.”

If it’s really better to give than receive, then what’s my ROI?

I mean, really… What do I get out of it?

I hear it every day.

I think it every day.

“What’s in it FOR ME?”

My business is greeting cards & gifts. They can be remotely created and sent through the amazing World Wide Web! Yowzah! Save time & money and look like a hero who SPENT time and money. Brilliant! … Or, so you’d imagine; right?

Business people know that they should be thanking/recognizing/appreciating their customers but frankly, they just don’t want to… They just want to appear as if they do.

Which begs the question: Why do I say “They?” It applies to me too. Every dollar I gain, I act like a seagull with a french fry. Hey, if I don’t gobble it down, somebody else will. Right?

Then, low and behold…somebody thanked me. Somebody logged into their SendOutCards account, that I set up for them, AND THEY  THANKED ME!

The world is topsy-turvy; that’s what I do. What is going on? I’m the one who says, “Givers Gain!” “What you send out is what you get back…It’s a law: The Law of Attraction.” It can no more be disobeyed than The Law of Gravity (which, I confess, is wrecking havoc on my physique). Yet here I am,  on the “getting” end…AND IT FEELS FABULOUS!

Heck, I feel appreciated! I feel recognized and VALIDATED for pity sake!

Forget giving! This is AWESOME! “Getting” is AMAZING!

That salesperson made me feel like a million dollars and I am going to make sure they know it…I’m going to give them the kind of appreciation, and loyalty, and friendship that other businesses dream of from their customers! If I have anything to do with it, my friends are going to know exactly who is the insightful, and appreciative person that I do business with, and they won’t settle for less!

This “getting” thing really works too!

Oh…wait…

Like I said, The Law of Attraction; it cannot be denied.
